Gal Gadot, the actress who played Wonder Woman, has confirmed that she is working on a third installment of the franchise with DC executives James Gunn and Peter Safran. This announcement comes after it was revealed in December 2022 that a third Wonder Woman film directed by Patty Jenkins would no longer be going forward due to creative differences with the new CEOs of DC Studios.

It was unclear whether Gadot’s portrayal of the superhero would continue, but after cameos in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash, it seems that she will have a place in the new DCU. The new slate of DC projects from Gunn and Safran, titled DCU Chapter One.

Gods and Monsters, only listed a prequel TV show titled Paradise Lost, which will be set on Themyscira before Diana Prince’s birth. The release date for Wonder Woman 3 has yet to be announced.
