Like a real-life version of a very, very fabulous game of Mad Libs, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez (official portmanteau: J-Rod) put on a Taco Wednesday dinner for guests like the Kardashian family and, apparently, Joan Collins (Joan Collins!!!). And because celebrities are sometimes not just like us—we who host taco nights in something very stretchy and preferably elastic-waisted—J. Lo wore a sparkling $7,680 head-to-toe Gucci outfit.

The look, from Gucci’s 2018 Cruise line, was made up of a matching $3,700 top and $3,980 trousers, both embroidered with seemingly thousands of crystals.

“Who else would host a Taco Wednesday in this outfit?” Kim Kardashian posited on Snapchat. “This gorgeous girl! Taco Wednesday. Taco Wednesdays! At J. Lo and Alex’s house.” Who, indeed?

For her part, Kim wore a sleek black outfit paired with a bright pink fur coat, which was also Gucci and goes for $19,000, which is how much 19,000 tacos cost at some joints in L.A. Kim also gave us a close-up of the food spread: a buffet bar of fillings and toppings that looks as extra as, say, wearing Gucci at taco night. It also looks very delicious.

Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, also in fur, posed for photos with Lopez and her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez. Kourtney Kardashian was also there, but the guest of honor out of the 100 that attended had to be 84-year-old Joan Collins, who appeared in a delightful video capturing the moment Lopez realized she was posing for a video, not a picture. Happens to the best of us, J.Lo.

Now, an astute observer might point out that taco night is traditionally observed on Tuesdays: Taco Tuesdays, if you will. But this is J.Lo we’re talking about, and she’s wearing a bedazzled Gucci lounge suit that costs as much as a used Saab. If she says it’s Taco Wednesday, then Taco Wednesday it is.
