While filming Friends, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox ate the same salad every day for ten years. The actress Rachel Green Jennifer, who is 53 years old, made the meal for Courtney, who played Monica Gellar on the show, and Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, but she has never said what was in it. Fans have been wondering what was in the lunch for ten years so they could try it for themselves.
And recently, the recipe for the well-known Jen-An salad was shown in a TikTok video that went viral. Videos on the social media site said that the meal comprises bulgur, diced cucumbers, parsley, mint, red onion, garbanzo beans, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped pistachios.
But Jennifer stopped the rumours by saying that the ingredients were nothing like the salads she and Courtney had been eating for years.
But Jennifer from Friends told Shape, “I’m sorry, I feel like I’m letting everyone down, but that’s not my salad.” Jennifer also said, “It looks tasty, but it’s not the salad I ate on Friends.”
The actress recently made a rare comment about her divorce from Brad Pitt. She finally shared the actual ingredients of the dish. Which she said were “totally different” from what the viral videos said.
Jennifer said she made the salad with shredded lettuce, chicken, egg whites, a few garbanzo beans, bacon, and a basic vinaigrette.
Jennifer would sometimes add pecorino cheese from an Italian restaurant nearby to the top.
Over the years, the actress has been known for her strict eating habits. However, in the same interview, she said it’s all about finding a balance. “Focus on being good to yourself, but also give yourself time to indulge.”
Courtney first talked about Jennifer’s salad in an interview with the Los Angeles Times in 2010. The story about the dish began to spread.
She told me: “Jennifer Aniston, Lisa [Kudrow], and I ate lunch together every day for ten years. We always ate the same thing, which was a Cobb salad.
“But it wasn’t a Cobb salad at all. Jennifer added turkey bacon, garbanzo beans, and I don’t know what else to a Cobb salad.”
At the time, Courtney added: “She knows how to cook, which is very helpful.
“Because if you’re going to eat the salad every day for ten years, it should be a good salad, right?”
It comes after Jennifer’s moving speech at the Daytime Emmy Awards about her Days of our Lives co-star John Aniston.
She said on-screen that it was an “extraordinary moment for me” and that it was a chance to honour “a true icon in the world of daytime television” and “a best and well-respected actor, who happens to be my dad.”
She also: “John Aniston has worked steadily in television for over 50 years. I’m sure he’s been on everything.”
