Jennifer Aniston may have said something about Monica Lewinsky recently, and Monica Lewinsky may have responded in the 2022 way possible: by liking a tweet.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, the former White House intern, who is now 48, was one of only three people who liked a tweet by @ernestsewell.
In the first tweet in the thread, a user asked, “I wonder if @lizzo asked Lorena Bobbitt to use her name and violent actions, the way hundreds of rappers and comedians use @MonicaLewinsky’s name as an insult, forgetting the real woman behind it, who has feelings, a spirit, their mental health to maintain, and dignity?”
“Even @Beyonce, Ms. Female-in-Power (whom I do love and enjoy), used Ms. Lewinsky’s name in a song about… well, something,” he wrote in the Lewinsky-approved tweet.
“It looks like a lot of hypocrisy for women who talk about empowering other women to put doErnest Sewellwn another woman’s past and drag her out just for its sake.”
In an “Actors on Actors” interview with Variety, the former “Friends” star and Sebastian Stan, 39, talked about fame in the year 2022. She spoke about how people like Lewinsky and Paris Hilton became famous as internet culture grew.
Even @Beyonce, Ms. Female-in-Power (who I do love and enjoy) used Ms. Lewinsky's name in a song about… well, something.
For women who preach empowerment to demean another woman's past & drag her out for the sake of it looks really hypocritical.

They were talking about the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sex tape. Which prompted Aniston, 53 at the time, to share her thoughts on internet culture.
“This idea that people can become famous for doing almost nothing but still have great careers. Then the reputation of women… I’m talking about Paris Hilton, Monica Lewinsky, and everyone else.”
In 2004, a sex tape of Hilton and her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon was leaked on the Internet. In 1998, Lewinsky was involved in a famous sex scandal with former President Bill Clinton.
“When you look back at the ’90s, you can see how much has happened in that decade,” Stan said. “Even the O.J. Simpson case was the start of news that was always on.
“More streaming services—you’re famous from TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. It’s almost like it makes the actor’s job less important.” Aniston said, “I feel so lucky that we got a taste of the business before it became what it is now.”
Fans say that she is trying to “gatekeep” fame for herself.
Some people said that Aniston got her job because her parents, John Aniston and Nancy Dow, are actors.
“Jennifer Aniston wants to talk about making actors’ jobs harder. Right,” wrote one person.
The Post has asked Hilton and Lewinsky’s spokespeople about it.
Fans called Jennifer Aniston, 53, a “nepotism baby” because she is the daughter of actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow.
