When she needed it most, Kaley Cuoco asked for help. During season 2 of The Flight Attendant on HBO. The main character didn’t hesitate to ask for help as she dealt with her divorce from Karl Cook. One month in, all my producers came to my trailer to talk to me about changing. And I said, ‘I need help with variety,” she said. “Saying that out loud was interesting. And for everyone to say, “Yes, we want to help,” was amazing. I’m a woman who works and is very independent. I’m proud of being able to do everything. Well, I couldn’t do it this time.”
The 36-year-old actress admitted that the time she went through her divorce was tough “was the time I felt the most alone, and I’m not the person to tell that to.” I’ve been very open about it because, for the first time, I wanted people to know that things aren’t always what they seem. Things aren’t always so great, either. While filming season 2, Cuoco found that the story of her character, Cassie, who was going through depression, made her feel sad. “When I was going via my divorce, it was a sorrowful time,” she said.
“I didn’t even know how to handle it. I worked so hard that I couldn’t imagine how sad and depressed I was. The character was so sad, though, that it didn’t help me. Quite a few tears.”
Cuoco has spoken about how Zosia Mamet’s support helped her get out of her depression. During filming, Mamet even moved into Cuoco’s house as a new roommate and a helpful friend.
During an April appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kaley Cuoco said, “She pretty much lived with me the last few months of shooting.” ” I’d never thought I’d have to depend on someone that much before, but I did. We just moved in together, & I don’t think I would have made it to work some days without her. She helped me in so many ways.”
