Harry Potter fans will be excited to learn that Wizarding World’s much-loved Back to Hogwarts celebrations is returning to London’s King’s Cross Station for a multi-day live event and exhibition as from tomorrow 1st September!
From Thursday, September 1-4, fans can enjoy various fun performances, exciting photo opportunities and a thrilling live countdown.
The Back to Hogwarts event comes 25 years after J.K. Rowling introduced the Harry Potter series and starts from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
The Hogwarts Express will leave Platform Nine and Three Quarters at 11:00 am to begin the renowned School for Witchcraft and Wizardry academic year. As part of the festivities, a live countdown will commemorate that moment.
Since the publication of the first Harry Potter book, the series has sold more than 600 million books worldwide, been translated into more than 80 languages, and been adapted for the big screen in eight worldwide smash-hit blockbuster movies.
Back to Hogwarts has developed similarly, soon becoming a celebration of the Wizarding World enjoyed by fans of all ages on a global scale. This year, there are several ways guests can participate in the event, both physically and virtually.
Fans can participate in Paul Harris’ Special Wand Combat seminars on the morning of the release date. He will instruct participants on how to fend off Death Eaters. And improve their most acceptable Defense Against the Dark Arts position. Paul Harris is the Wand Choreographer from the Harry Potter movies.
The West End cast of the Harry Potter and Cursed Child will also do a live performance. Performing a modified version of the celebrated play’s well-known “wand dance”. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone are giant-scale book replicas. Which feature the book’s original 1997 cover art by Thomas Taylor and are available for fans to take selfies with. They can also pose for pictures with LEGO® Harry Potter big builds of the Hogwarts Sorting Hat and Mr Weasley’s blue Ford Anglia.
In the Hogwarts Express video booth, wizarding fans can also see themselves travelling in the same carriage as Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
Back to Hogwarts will be live-streamed on Tik Tok with Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton hosting. So those who can’t attend won’t miss out.
