Fantastic Friends: trailer released for Harry Potter twins’ new travel and magic show

Fantastic Friends, a new travel and adventure program from James and Oliver Phelps, the actors best known for portraying Harry Potter’s Weasley twins, has just released a trailer.
In addition to other enjoyable activities, the trailer depicts the Phelps brother’s hand-gliding, snorkeling, hot air ballooning, standing in ice caves, climbing on gigantic boulders in Ireland, and donning lederhosen, and sword fighting.

“We acted as Fred and George in the Harry Potter films for ten years. With the help of our jobs, we’ve had the good fortune to travel the world and meet some wonderful people. And now it’s time to take you along with us on the voyage,” one of the brothers narrates over the scenes. The trailer also includes some Hogwarts-inspired classical music, continuing the Harry Potter motif.

Some of their Harry Potter acquaintances, including Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan), and Evanna Lynch, will appear in the new series (Luna Lovegood). Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones, Haley Joel Osment from The Sixth Sense, and Sophie Skelton from Outlander appear on the program.

Each of the show’s six episodes appears to be a tour of a different nation, and they’ll be joined by one of their well-known pals at each location. They will travel to St. Lucia, Ireland, Austria, Dubai, Poland, and Iceland, among other places.

The program will be “part adventure-travel series, half magic-infused challenge show, and part celebration of friendship,” according to Variety.

Daniel Sharp is the director and producer of Vikings: Rise and Fall and Top Gear America.

It has been wonderful to travel once more and produce this exciting, risk-taking, and original series, according to Sharp. James and Oliver, who not only acted in the series but also served as hands-on executives throughout, were a great delight to have with us.

Both actors have had acting assignments since their final appearance as the Weasley brothers in the Harry Potter films in 2011, and they both appeared in 2021’s Last Night in Soho. James was in 2015’s Patchwork, while Oliver was in Danny and the Human Zoo.

The brothers are also expected in Perth’s Supanova Comic Con & Gaming convention this weekend.

HBO Max will debut the program on July 2.
