On the “I’ve Got News For You” podcast, “Harry Potter” star Miriam Margolyes admitted that she detested working with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the 1999 supernatural action film “End of Days.” In between the movie takes, Schwarzenegger allegedly farted on Margolyes’ face. Margolyes claimed that Schwarzenegger did it “deliberately,” and she hasn’t yet forgiven him.
Schwarzenegger is a Republican, which I don’t like, Margolyes stated. He’s a little too self-centered, and I have no interest in him. He honestly behaved exceptionally rudely. He burped in front of me. He intentionally did it in front of my face. Of course, I fart now, but I don’t do it in front of people.
“He was killing me while I was playing the role of Satan’s sister, so he put me in a vulnerable position on the floor. Margolyes continued, “And he just farted. “I haven’t forgiven him for it,” the speaker said. “It wasn’t on video but in one of the pauses.”
Schwarzenegger played an ex-cop searching for Satan before he can usher in the Antichrist in Peter Hyams’ “End of Days.” Margolyes, well-known for his role as Professor Sprout in the “Harry Potter” films, showed up as one of Satan’s helpers. In addition to Rod Steiger and Kevin Pollak, the cast includes Gabriel Byrne and Robin Tunney. Variety has contacted Schwarzenegger’s agents for comment.
With an estimated $100 million production budget, Universal took a significant risk with “End of Days,” which ultimately made $200 million worldwide. “The 6th Day,” “Collateral Damage,” and “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” were the movies that Schwarzenegger released after the movie.
