Are you a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff? Is it better to be a Slytherin or a Gryffindor? This summer, Central New York will host a “Harry Potter”-themed Wizard Fest. That event will be held on Saturday, July 30, at Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool, New York, beneath the outdoor pavilion; gates open at 6 p.m.
A live D.J. and dance party, “Harry Potter” trivia, a cosplay costume contest, themed cocktails like butterbeer, merchants, and a Quidditch & Triwizard Tournament will be featured in Wizard Fest. A unique wand, Wizard Fest t-shirt, Wizard Cup, bracelet, and socks in your choice of Hogwarts-themed house colors will also be included in VIP packages (scarlet and gold; blue and bronze; green and silver; or yellow and black).
Early bird tickets are $15 and may be purchased at afterdarkpresents.com. Starting at $55, VIP packages are available. There may be additional charges.
An adult must accompany attendees under the age of 16. There are no owls, cats, or toads allowed.
Wizard Fest, which bills itself as a traveling “interactive party,” can be found at wizardfest.com.
Sharkey’s Event Center is located at 7240 Oswego Rd. in Liverpool, just a short distance from Syracuse via flying broom. Concerts by Cinderella’s Tom Keifer with L.A.
