Harry Potter’s Draco and Neville Actors Reunite In Sweet New Photos

In charming new Instagram images, Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis, who play Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom, respectively, reconnect in London as Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom.

Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco in Harry Potter, and Matthew Lewis, who played Neville, reconnect in new images. The Harry Potter franchise comprises eight films based on author J. K. Rowling’s renowned series of books, with the saga’s total box office earnings now exceeding $7.7 billion. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was published in 2001, and it introduced audiences to Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger.

Aside from the three central characters, the Harry Potter films have a cast of minor characters who appear and disappear throughout the eight films. Felton’s Draco Malfoy, who played the school bully at Hogwarts for much of the series, would play a vital role in the later films when he joined Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) his minions. Neville Longbottom, in many respects the polar opposite of Draco, is introduced in The Sorcerer’s Stone as a frequent target of school bullies before eventually becoming a hero himself in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 by vanquishing Voldemort’s serpent, Nagini.

In a sweet new Instagram post, Felton said that Lewis just saw his performance in London and that the two were reunited. “When your old schoolmate comes to see your show and some bellend insists on snapping a photograph,” Felton jokes in the description. A picture of Lewis walking into the theatre, a picture of Lewis and Felton together, and finally, what looks to be a screenshot of Felton’s photo album on his phone, which contains rows of the photographer making hilarious expressions accompanied by the amusing and uplifting text.

Even though the last Harry Potter film was released more than a decade ago, fans of the franchise and many of the actors who participated in it remain devoted. The Harry Potter cast recently reunited for the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts special. Felton and Lewis (along with a slew of other cast members) discussed their experiences working on the films. Given that the Harry Potter films covered a decade, it’s apparent that several of the performers, including Felton and Lewis, built strong friendships that have lasted to this day.

Although the universe of Harry Potter lives on in the Fantastic Beasts offshoot films, many fans are still hoping for a return of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Neville, and the rest of the characters they have grown to love in the leading franchise. It’s unclear whether a third Harry Potter film will ever be made (Radcliffe’s recent comments suggest it won’t be anytime soon). For the time being, though, fans can take comfort in the fact that many of their favorite performers from the films are still pals in real life.
