In October, the actor will release his autobiography. Although Tom Felton hasn’t appeared in a Harry Potter film in over ten years, fans are still fascinated with his time in the franchise. The actor, 34, revealed the cover of his highly awaited book, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, in a recent Instagram post.
The biography will detail his experiences portraying Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter, including dealing with the pressures of being pushed into the spotlight at such a young age and forging enduring bonds with fellow cast members. While most fans in the comments section expressed their excitement for the actor’s following projects, others couldn’t help but notice that Tom still bears an eerie similarity to his fictional counterpart.
“Can’t even go into a book shop without making the first page,” one fan said, referring to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Draco sneers at “renowned Harry Potter” for having his photo taken for the Daily Prophet alongside Gilderoy Lockhart in the second film.
After only two days on Instagram, the post has received over 250,000 likes. Tom’s social media following currently stands at 11.9 million, so it’s no surprise that his followers were excited to hear about the latest news regarding his book.
“Thank you for all of the love and support on #BeyondTheWand so far,” the caption stated. The book cover will be published soon [star emoji], but first, I want to see your artwork and ideas for Beyond The Wand’s cover!! #BeyondTheWandFanArt.”
Some of Tom’s creative followers chimed in with their ideas for what his book cover should look like in the comments area. “OMG, Draco Malfoy and Tom Felton??,” one user wrote. Is it possible to meet face to face? [snake emoji] [heart emoji]
“I have an idea, but I can’t draw it,” another person said.
[heart emoji]” I’d be a wand in the center, left half Draco, right half Tom…… Fans are still invested in the characters, no matter how long it has been since the first Harry Potter films. Tom Felton portrayed Draco Malfoy in all eight Harry Potter films, which spanned ten years from 2001 to 2011.
When the Epsom-born actor was cast in the role of Malfoy, he was 13 years old. In the first film, we saw him sorted into Slytherin’s house, which became connected with Harry’s arch-foes at Hogwarts. Tom’s book is planned to be released on October 13th, 2022, and it is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for £16.
