Hogwarts Legacy on the PS5 Makes You Feel Like Harry Potter

Although support for the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller isn’t as prominent now as it was when the device was first released, Hogwarts Legacy appears to be going all out with its implementation. According to a new PlayStation Blog post, the pad’s adjustable triggers and haptic feedback will be used, and a trailer incorporating previous footage.

The adaptive triggers’ resistance will be employed to make each spell seem distinct once cast. “We’ve isolated these effects to the right side of the controller to make the DualSense feel like an extension of the wand you’re holding in the game,” community manager Chandler Wood stated. “And you’ll feel the sizzling of the magic being reflected and absorbed by the Shield Charm when you deflect a spell with Protego.”

Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will be employed for more than simply spells. When crushing components in Potions class, when a Mandrake decides to scream in Herbology, and when flying on your broomstick or hippogriff, the two features come into action. Outside of combat, the PS5 controller will be illuminated in the colors of your home. The blog article also reveals that the PS5 has fidelity and performance modes, which allow you to increase the frame rate or improve the visuals. If you’re speeding through the Floo Network or exploring on your own two feet, load times are said to be quick. At the end of 2022, Hogwarts Legacy will be released on PS5 and PS4.
