Before their fan meetings in Sydney and Perth, Harry Potter Stars James and Oliver Phelps landed in Australia on Thursday. The free Q&A sessions are an effort to connect with folks who were heartbroken when Wowza Entertainment postponed their tour the previous year.
In an exclusive interview with A Current Affair, the Phelps brothers revealed that they were as astonished as the fans to learn that many people had not received refunds.
Oliver says, “We were in the dark just as much as the guys on the other end bought the tickets from the concerts from Wowza.”
Wowza first attempted to blame the twins for the tour’s cancellation, but Oliver later admitted that this was a ruse.
There were many more than just the one we were meant to be on, and from what I could see, he claimed, “I think it was merely a deflection strategy.”
The famous actors playing the Weasley twins talked about their principles and ethics. “I think the key goal for us is to treat people like you would like to be treated,” they stated.
It’s what we were always taught as children and what we still firmly believe in.
By organizing the free Q&A sessions, Supanova is assisting the 36-year-efforts old’s to make atonement.
Oliver and James will attend the Supanova comic-con events in Sydney on June 18 and 19 and Perth on June 25 and 26.
The performers have been busy pursuing various genres since the final Harry Potter film aired 11 years ago.
They recently starred in Last Night in Soho with Anya Taylor-Joy from The Queen’s Gambit, and they are now working on a travel show called Fantastic Friends.
