According to experts, Johnny Depp’s legal victory over Amber Heard is very “tough.”
According to The Washington Post, Johnny Depp’s current court hearings are an uphill battle due to his celebrity.
“The First Amendment protects our rights to discuss subjects of public importance, which presumably includes celebrities’ lives in today’s day and age,” said Mitra Ahouraian, a California entertainment lawyer.
Experts said that defamation actions are difficult to win, especially when celebrities have involved. It is difficult to establish the defendant’s “actual malice” (Heard).
“He has this added weight that is difficult for him,” Ahouraian explained.
Meanwhile, following an emotionally draining courtroom battle with Heard, Depp is vacationing in Europe.
