Napa Valley Wine Train Murder Mystery Ride is Returning for Harry Potter Fans

Who says you have to be going anywhere to take the train? (Something, something, the trip is more important than the destination.) Right?) The best trips don’t always take you back to where you started.

That is certainly the case with the Napa Valley Wine Train, known for its wine. It is also well-known for its themed murder mysteries. It has released the full lineup for the 2022 Murder Mystery Tour. An essential aspect is that the Harry Potter-themed murder mystery ride is back for many. (However, keep in mind that it is unofficially Harry Potter-themed.)

The Murder Mystery Company, which produces all shows, collaborated with the Napa Valley Wine Train for the first time in 2019. It was since grown into a popular annual event, with sold-out wizard-themed hikes.

This year’s events are listed below; along with when you can board the renamed, magical “I Solemnly Swear I Am Up to the No Good” trains.

19 May – Until Death Us Do Part
A gangster is killed on June 2nd.
16 June – Until Death Us Do Part
I Love the ’80s to Death, June 30
14th of July – Best Laid Plans
A Dance with Death, July 28
The 11th of August marks the death of a gangster.
Midnight Masquerade on August 25th
A gangster is killed on September 8th.
22 September – Until Death Us Do Part
I solemnly swear-I am up to no good on October 6th.
I solemnly swear-I am up to no good on October 13th.
I solemnly swear-I am up to no good on October 20.
I solemnly swear-I am up to no good on October 27th.
Each trip on the train includes a two-hour mystery to solve and a multi-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Rodrigo Cuadra. There are also wine and themed costume options. So, if you’re going to live out your Hogwarts Express fantasies, you might want to dust off your dress robes.
This year’s schedule includes a few new themes and dress rules. Hollywood splendor is suggested for “Best Laid Plans,” wedding dresses and suits for “Till Death Do Us Part,” and 1950s-era clothes for “A Dance with Death.”

Dinner and an interactive murder mystery aboard a refurbished railway, however, are not complimentary. It costs $405 per person before the wine is included. (It’s the Napa Valley Wine Train, by the way.) So, what are your plans? Is there no wine?
