Hogwarts wasn’t all enchantment for actors like Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
For decades, the Wizarding World has entertained the public, which includes everything from the original novels to theme parks, stage productions, and (of course) big-screen blockbusters. The youthful cast of Harry Potter films became household names, yet it turns out that some of Hogwarts’ greatest considered leaving their roles behind. Both Rupert Grint and Emma Watson recently acknowledged that they considered leaving the Harry Potter franchise.
”When the child actors secured their roles in the film adaptations, the original three Harry Potter heroes acquired dream careers. However, due to their celebrity, they were forced to grow up in the spotlight. And it turns out that actors were concerned about their future in the Wizarding World due to this kind of attention. Emma Watson recently stated, ”
”I believe I was terrified. I’m not sure whether you’ve ever felt like it reached a point where you thought, ‘This is kind of forever now.”
I mean, who can blame her? Even though Emma Watson has proceeded to star in influential films such as Beauty and the Beast and Little Women, her name will always be linked to Hermione Granger. Fortunately for fans, she did not leave the role, appearing in all eight Harry Potter films as the beloved Gryffindor.
Emma Watson’s come from her eagerly awaited appearance on HBO Max’s Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts (via Comic Book). Fans are excited to see the films’ cast meet at Hogwarts and share their memories years after The Deathly Hallows- Part 2 concluded. This recollection involves the times when the responsibilities of being a Wizard were too much for the budding stars.
Emma Watson wasn’t the only Harry Potter actress who considered leaving the franchise in the middle of the films. Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Wesley, mirrored his co-concerns. Star’s As the actor who played the Servant expressed it,
”I had similar thoughts to Emma, imagining what my life would be like if I called it a day. We never really discussed it. We were kind of in the moment, so we were going through it at our own pace. It did not occur to us that’s we were probably all experiencing comparable emotions.”
Fame may be a double-edged sword at times. And it turns out that the Harry Potter films’ schedules and celebrities were occasionally taxing on the actors. This includes actors like Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who are at the top of the call sheet.
