A Harry Potter parody show is coming to Dubai, and because it has been nominated for an Olivier Award, we anticipate great things.
The unofficial Harry Potter experience, Potted Potter, intends to impress spectators at The Theatre by QE2, where the performance will take place on the famous ship. At the same time, it is anchored at Mina Rashid Port.
There will only be four performances of the Potted Potter in the city, so you’ll need to act quickly if you want to get tickets.
On Saturday, October 22, two will be held at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and two more will be held on Sunday, October 23, at noon and 4 p.m.
With all seven Harry Potter books condensed into only 70 minutes, Potted Potter will impress even the most ardent fans of the series. So be ready for a wild afternoon with lots of mischiefs managed.
The show’s designers claim that the audience will be in fits of laughter as performers Scott Hoatson and Joseph Maudsley change into a variety of beloved Harry Potter characters with the help of costumes, props, and a dash of Hogwarts magic. A real-life game of Quidditch will also be featured. As music will be featured in the family-friendly programme, you will also be tapping your toes (suitable for kids ages six and above).
Since its debut in 2006, Potted Potter has travelled the world and been seen by more than a million muggles, including in the West End and Las Vegas.
The Potted Potter saga has an interesting backstory. The five-minute entertainment for fans waiting for the publication of the sixth book. The series was the inspiration behind Clarkson and Turner’s creation of the play in 2005 for a presentation at a London bookstore.
It was an immediate success, and the performance expanded into a full-length stage production initially presented at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It has toured the world for over ten years and received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Entertainment and Family Show.
