What Happened To The Dursleys After Harry Potter Ended

In the Harry Potter series, the Dursleys were not particularly popular. However, what became to Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley when the series concluded?
Throughout the entire film series, Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley Dursley were portrayed by Richard Griffiths, Fiona Shaw, and Harry Melling. What happened to the Dursley family following the conclusion of Harry Potter? Since the conclusion of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling has released details about the dishonorable Dursley family. The Muggles who took in Harry Potter after Lord Voldemort murdered his parents, Lily and James, were the Dursleys. Aunt Petunia was Lily’s older sister, but she had a great deal of scorn towards the young lad. Vernon and Petunia feared Harry’s connection to magic, so they concealed his wizard status. They significantly improved their treatment of their son Dudley by pampering him and caving to his frequent demands. In addition, they severely neglected Harry, forcing him to reside in the cupboard beneath the stairs.

Eventually, Hagrid rescued Harry and disclosed the truth about his magical ancestry. Following Harry’s enrollment at Hogwarts, the Dursleys were compelled to embrace his true identity. They gradually improved their treatment of Harry, but they remained unwilling to interact with anyone from the wizarding world. Harry’s relationship with the Dursleys did not change as he grew older, but it began to improve in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Dudley was the only Dursley who expressed interest in Harry’s reconciliation. Due to the threat of Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters, Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley were compelled to leave their houses and placed under the protection of the Order of the Phoenix. Before the family’s departure, Dudley left a cup of tea for his cousin. However, Harry initially perceived it as a joke. Then, Dudley shook hands with Harry and wished him well on his upcoming voyage. Petunia almost wished Harry well before her family left, but she could not speak. It always appeared that Petunia harbored a sense of loyalty for Harry, but she repressed these thoughts.
Rowling revealed that Dudley married and had two children after the Second Wizarding War. Harry claimed to be friendly with the Dursleys by including them on his Christmas card list. Vernon and Petunia did not see much of their nephew for apparent reasons. In contrast, Dudley and Harry reconnected several times so that their children might play together. Their relationship was awkward but vastly different from when they were children. The Dursleys were referenced but not appear in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was reported that Petunia died before 2020. However, the cause of her passing was never known. Petunia’s connection to the wizarding world was always a source of optimism for Harry Potter enthusiasts. Those hopes, however, have been crushed. Dudley gradually mustered the guts to alter his behavior toward Harry.
