Those who came of age in the early 2000s have a natural talent for recognising and picking out the Disney Channel stars who were popular then. Hilary Duff, who played Lizzie McGuire for two seasons, was the only star on the network who achieved the level of fame enjoyed by Hilary Duff. Since then, she has made appearances in various movies and television shows, including the much-anticipated spinoff of How I Met Your Father, which has generated a lot of heated discussions. However, despite her being a celebrity, many people her age and younger continue to confuse her with Lindsay Lohan (of all people). There is no need to be concerned about the matter because the actress has a funny perspective (or takedown) on the circumstance.
Let’s begin with the terrible TikTok that led to it all. A teacher at a middle school asked her students to name various celebrities who were active in the 2000s. It was hilarious that they thought Hannah Montana was a hybrid of Jojo Siwa, Katy Perry, and Britney Spears rolled into one character. The character Sharpay from the original High School Musical was also confused for Hannah Montana at one point. It is not surprising that a picture of Hilary Duff from her time on Lizzie McGuire was misidentified as one of Lindsay Lohan, who was also a child star in her heyday.
As I have stated, the star continues to be a productive actor even after the latest gaffe suggests otherwise. She was a leading cast member on the TV Land series Younger for seven seasons, and her role in HIMYF was just renewed for a second season. Similarly, Lindsay Lohan would play roles in films that dealt with significantly more mature subject matter. Even though she has been away from the film industry for the past two years, these children may know the actress when her new holiday film becomes available on Netflix. (Or…will they mistake her for one of the other Disney kids…?)
