Kids, How I Met Your Father, Hulu’s new spin-off of the sitcom HIMYM, has made me want to watch the original show again. This is not a bad thing about the show, in my opinion. I don’t want to watch the best or all 208 episodes of How I Met Your Mother again. I want to dig a small deeper and find out some of the stories about Future Ted that we never got to hear from Bob Saget before he died.
So, I’m going to make a list of the best stories that come to mind. You won’t want to miss these amazing facts about one of the best TV shows that happened behind the scenes. HIMYM is a TV show about how we get to know each other. It starts with some fun facts that everyone knows about the theme song.
The theme song for HIMYM was written and played by the band that made the show.
The HIMYM theme song has 10 “pa’s” and one “da-da-da.” However, during the opening credits of the show, you can only hear the end of a full-length song called “Hey, Beautiful.” This song is essential to the people who worked on the show.
Neil Patrick Harris doesn’t look like what the people who made the show had in mind for Barney Stinson.
When Neil Patrick Harris was role as Barney Stinson, a lot changed. Most scenes with Ted’s kids were shot in Season 1 of HIMYM. Carter Bays and Craig Thomas stand up with the idea of Barney Stinson while they were writing How I Met Your Mother. In 2008, the actor talked to the A.V. Club about how his now-iconic role changed from the script to the movie:
HIMYM Season 1 is where most of the scenes with Ted’s kids were shot.
Because Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie remained the same age for all nine seasons, except for a hilarious promo for Season 9 in which the grown-up actors beg their dad to finish his story after nine years. They should get a prize for that. They don’t look younger in the show because of the magic. It came about because of a lot of careful planning.
During a scene in Season 2, an actual marriage proposal happened on set.
When Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) found someone else’s engagement ring in her champagne, she thought it was a proposal from Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor). But it turned out to be someone else’s ring. The actual proposal that comes up a minute later is more accurate than you thought. Even though you probably didn’t know that.
Some HIMYM actors have appeared on the show with their real-life spouses, which has been a big hit.
There are more real-life love stories from the show’s set than just this one. Three of the actors in How I Met Your Mother have played prominent roles with their real-life spouses. But not the same way that Timothy Russo and Jana Rugan got married.
Most of the sites mentioned on HIMYM are real.
How I Met Your Mother has also made its way into the real world in a few other ways. Most people find it funny that the show makes fun of the internet by talking about websites that you might think are just jokes.
Alicia Silverstone was supposed to play Stella Zinman at first.
Sarah Chalke, who used to be on Scrubs and Rick and Morty, almost didn’t play the woman who left Ted at the altar in Season 4. TV Guide said that Alicia Silverstone was supposed to be on the show How I Met Your Mother.
When Marshall search out that his father has died, the scene is made up on the spot.
People say it has thing to do with the end of an episode from Season 6. But we know for sure that the co-creator of How I Met Your Mother, Carter Bays, said this. Lily tells Marshall Eriksen that Bill Fagerbakke, his father, has died in this scene.
At the end of Season 4, How I Met Your Mother came up with some fun ways to “hide” what Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders were expecting.
On the set of HIMYM, the word “improvisation” was also used by both Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders told the show’s producers that she was pregnant while Season 4 was being made. They had to find a way to hide that they were pregnant. Because neither Lily nor Robin had this in their books at that point in the series, this led to much fun.
The Pineapple Incident ends with a scene that was cut out.
One of the mysteries that How I Met Your Mother fans were most excited to solve was the Pineapple Incident from Season 1. Cristin Milioti played “Mother,” but it turned out that she was Tracy McConnell. That puzzle was almost figured out.
