The long-running sitcom How I Met Your Mother starred Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jason Segel. It aired about 200 episodes throughout the period. Josh Radnor is the actor that plays Ted in the programme. He tells his kids the story of how he met their mother. One of the storylines that left fans curious was how did Ted get Blue French Horn in the series Finale!
When Ted (Josh Radnor) first sees Robin, he immediately falls in love with her. The two strike up a discussion and go on a great first date. But Ted misses the signal to kiss Robin. Because of this, he concludes that the best way is to get the blue french horn that they discussed during their first date. So, he returned to Carmichaels, the restaurant where they had it, and stole it. He then takes it to her apartment.
Throughout the show, it comes to represent the two of them and their relationship. Ultimately, the blue French horn makes its way to the story’s conclusion. Ted visits Robin at her apartment carrying the horn to signify that he genuinely loves her and wants them to be together.
The actual puzzle is how Ted was able to acquire the blue french horn that was featured in the series finale. When he obtains the french horn for the first time, the audience is provided with detailed information regarding the whole ordeal. But since that day, Robin has displayed the blue French horn on the mantle in her home.
Did Ted come up with another one on his own? We may always suppose the restaurant replaces the piece of art after Ted steals it. But what are the odds that Carmichaels would still be in business? Or would the restaurant find a substitute for the blue French horn that was a replica? Even if all of these factors were to fall into place, Ted’s act of taking yet another piece of art from this establishment is entirely reprehensible. After the show, a sweet gesture is made, but it doesn’t explain much.
Hence, where did Ted get the Blue French Horn remains unanswered?
