He was funny and had great words.

Ted (the protagonist) tells his kids the story. He’s referring to his wingman/buddy. And the party-loving guy who made every experience fun. He lies to make the story more interesting.

So, I think of Barney as a freaky pro who made up a story when he didn’t do well. On the eve of 2022, many viewers may not like some show content.

One thing: He’s apathetic.
