After losing the Knives Out 2 role to Kate Hudson, Kaley Cuoco “cried all night long.”

Knives Out, a movie with many famous people in it, was such a hit that it seemed like everyone in Hollywood was running to auditions for Knives Out 2, the sequel. One of those people was Kaley Cuoco, who plays a flight attendant in The Flight Attendant. She missed out on a role, which was a big deal for her. “I was sure that it was my part…” In a new interview with Glamour, Cuoco said this. “And then I didn’t get it.” I was in so much pain. And I don’t usually get upset about roles.”

Kate Hudson got the part in the end, but Cuoco said she had done chemistry reads and Zooms and had gotten pretty far in the process. “I cried and cried all night,” she said when she found out she missed out. Kaley Cuoco never found out why she didn’t get the part, but she made peace with it in the end, even though she thought during her auditions, “I was hot s—-: I’m going to be with Daniel Craig.”

The next day, she got a call about trying out for Meet Cute. An upcoming rom-com with Pete Davidson in the lead role. Even though Cuoco wasn’t in the mood to read, she did it anyway, mainly because Davidson was already interested.

Cuoco said, “I told him, ‘This is the most magical little script.'” “And I never would have gotten it if knives were my answer. She could have worked with stars like Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Edward Norton, and Leslie Odom, Jr., but she didn’t. But the fact that she had her own Meet Cute with this other movie made losing Knives a little less painful. “That’s what it has thought to be, and both Knives and Kate are great. She has supposed to do it, and this was my job,” Cuoco said. “Maybe I’ll be able to try out for the third one.”
