Bernadette’s Cyborg Theory Made Big Bang Theory Fans Think Twice

Fan theories will certainly accompany any top-rated film franchise or television series. Viewers are always trying to stay one step ahead of the writers, so, understandably, they’d go to any length to figure out where something is going. Fans occasionally strike gold. In other cases, the fan theories are too absurd to be accepted as canon. Even after a series has concluded, they can be fun to ponder about and ruminate over. That is certainly the case with “The Big Bang Theory,” one of the most successful sitcoms of the twenty-first century. The show may have stopped after 12 entertaining seasons, but fans continue to reflect on it and speculate on possible stories. One such hypothesis would have drastically altered Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) persona. While it’s entertaining to consider, one “Big Bang Theory” actor quickly dismissed it while the show was still airing.

Jim Parsons shot down the ‘Bernadette is the cyborg’ theory

Howard (Simon Helberg) finding a girlfriend was nothing short of a miracle. He was never easy on the girls, and he came off as weird rather than romantic most of the time. Bernadette, on the other hand, has unconcerned with Howard’s oddities. It’s almost as if she was built for him, and some fans believe she was.

On different “Big Bang Theory” message boards, a popular fan theory claims that Bernadette is a cyborg made by Howard. After all, Howard is a brilliant aeronautical engineer, so it’s possible that he could build an autonomous entity. She also possesses all of the attributes Howard seeks in a woman, but unfortunately, this notion does not appear to be valid. Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, has asked about this hypothesis and whether it was realistic during their appearance on “The Late Late Show with the James Corden.” “In a literal sense, no,” Parsons replied.
It makes sense; Howard may be intelligent, but creating a fully conscious life form is beyond his capabilities. It’s far more likely that Howard met his soulmate. Besides, there are many other intriguing “Big Bang Theory” fan theories floating around, such as Penny (Kaley Cuoco) being in witness protection. Other fan theories will inevitably develop as long as viewers binge-watch the show.
