Melissa Rauch of The Big Bang Theory played a True Blood character you likely forgot.

Melissa Rauch had been acting since 2006 when she appeared in the film “Delirious,”. But her breakthrough role was unquestionably in 2009. When she began her 10-year stint on CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory.

“If you’re unfamiliar with the premise, “The Big Bang Theory” follows a group of scientists in Pasadena, California, and their aspiring actress neighbor. Rauch initially appears in the third season as a recurring character before being upgraded to the prominent cast member for Season 4 and the rest of the show’s existence. Rauch portrays Bernadette Rostenkowski, a scientist who works at the Cheesecake Factory with Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and is putting herself through grad school.

Bernadette later becomes Howard Wolowitz’s girlfriend and then wife (Simon Helberg). However, before spending a decade as Bernadette, Rauch had a modest recurring role in another popular TV show, albeit in a different genre: “True Blood.” The HBO horror drama series “Tru Blood,” which aired from 2008 to 2014, is set in a civilization where vampires can live freely among humans thanks to a synthetic blood product called “Tru Blood.” Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress who falls in love with a 173-year-old vampire named Bill Compton, is at the center of the plot (Stephen Moyer).

Rauch portrays summer for six episodes.

Melissa Rauch appeared in Season 3 of “True Blood” for a six-episode arc in 2010, one year after beginning her tenure on “The Big Bang Theory.” Summer has played by Rauch, a young girl who is in a brief relationship with Hoyt Fortenberry (Jim Parrack). One of the leading human characters.

To keep Hoyt away from his true love.  Summer has introduced to Hoyt by Hoyt’s mother, the vampire Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll). He bakes biscuits for Hoyt to express her emotions throughout their brief relationship (and her desire to be his girlfriend). Then summer encounters Jessica in another scene, and Jessica bares her fangs in jealously of Hoyt’s new connection. Of course, Hoyt quickly breaks up with Summer.

He still loves Jessica — after all, as “True Blood” fans know, Hoyt and Jessica eventually marry. Rauch discussed her experiences working on the popular show with the “True Blood” fan blog. When questioned about working with Parrack and Woll, Rauch stated, “Those guys are incredible. Working with them was so much fun! They were quite friendly and inviting to me. They would be unbelievably pleasant, in addition to being extremely skilled, like the rest of the cast.
