Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper
Jim Parsons, like his character, the awkward but charming Sheldon Cooper, was born and reared in Texas. He traveled to New York in his early twenties to pursue a career in acting., landing a few minor appearances before landing the role in the comedy. One of his first roles that drew people’s attention was in a Quiznos commercial.
Kaley Cuoco as Penny
Penny, Leonard and Sheldon’s next-door neighbor, is played by Kaley Cuoco. Like her co-star Johnny, she began acting as a child and has cast as a young Karin Carter in the 1995 action film Virtuosity at ten. Kaley cuoco has cast in the sitcom Ladies Man and the Brady Bunch film Growing Up Brady.
Kunal Nayyar as Raj Koothrappali
Kunal Nayyar, an Indian actor, plays the hapless Raj. He has interested in performing while at university and got work in American television commercials and plays. Before The Big Bang Theory, he only had a brief role on NCIS, but he garnered notoriety for his appearance in the play Huck & Holden, in which he played an Indian exchange student.
Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz
Simon Helberg, who began his career as one half of a comic combo with Drunk History founder Derek Waters, plays Howard. Before The Big Bang Theory, he starred on MADtv, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Arrested Development, among other shows.
Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler
Mayim Bialik joined the cast as neuroscientist Amy in season three. She began her career as a child actress, appearing in shows such as MacGyver and Blossoms, but she stopped performing to pursue a degree in neuroscience.
Melissa Rauch as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz
