Fans of The Flight Attendant on HBO Max can take heart: we might not have seen the last of Cassie Bowden and the show’s star, Kaley Cuoco. In a new interview with Variety, Cuoco thinks she might not be ready to leave the Flight Attendant ride for good, and she may have spoken too soon. Cuoco said there wouldn’t be more seasons on the streaming service when season two ended in May.
She says of a third season, “I’ve talked to many of the main cast, and they’re up for it.” “I thought it would happen.”
She now says that her earlier comments about the end of the series may have been too clear. “The most important thing I’ve learned is never to say never.” So I’m definitely up for it, “she says now, making her loyal fans happy. When the first episode of The Flight Attendant aired in November 2020, viewers and critics immediately loved it. Cuoco got two nominations for a Primetime Emmy, including one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. After 12 years on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory, her first Emmy nomination showed she belonged in Hollywood. Kaley Cuoco was never nominated for an Emmy, unlike Jim Parsons (who won four) and Mayim Bialik (who was nominated four times).
The Flight Attendant was an unexpected hit that completely changed Cuoco’s career. Even though the show was well-liked by critics, Kaley Cuoco seemed ready to move on when season two ended. She told People Magazine, “I feel like the plane has landed for me.” I need a minute, I think. I just kind of sense that we just ended. ” Her comments may have been affected by how busy she was at work. In the HBO adult animation series, she gives voice to the DC Comics character Harley Quinn. She has also been making movies. She is playing an assassin in the movie Role Play, which is being filmed in Berlin now.
Kaley Cuoco just finished filming the comedy Meet Cute with Pete Davidson. Her Netflix action comedy The Man From Toronto with Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson came out in June.
But recently, having dinner with the show’s executive producer, Greg Berlanti, may have shed some light on the show’s possible future. “A few weeks back, I was at a dinner and sat next to Greg Berlanti… But I told him in a whisper, “Third season?” And he just gave me a nod. “Wow!” I thought, “she said.” ” After Cuoco’s character, Cassie, got involved in a murder mystery in the first season. The second season was more about international intrigue.” Cassie went to work for the CIA and became involved in another murder mystery. Season three could be about almost anything. If the show does well at the Emmys, it could get another season sooner than anyone thought. Cuoco is working on a crime series for Peacock called Based on a True Story.
If or when The Flight Attendant has a third season, it will be for the right reasons. As an executive producer, Kaley Cuoco has a lot of say over the show’s creative direction. She says of another season, “I don’t want to shove this down people’s throats.” “I’d like the plot to be just right.” She is working on a new show about Doris Day’s life. She is also learning not to be too casual with reporters when she talks to them. “You’d think I’d know how to speak in interviews after 30 years in this business.
